President
Sidra has been a volunteer for YMWA since 2004 and has been serving the organization as their Secretary prior to her appointment as President. She is currently a BA/LLB student at Victoria University, Wellington and is a member of the Victoria University Muslim Students Association. Sidra was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, and has been a ‘Pakiwi’ since 1991. Previously, she participated in Leadership training sponsored by the Office of Ethnic Affairs in 2006 and acted in their Keeping it Real: Authentic Dialogue in New Zealand resource. She has also contributed significant time, and skill through her contribution in the Epsom Girls Grammar School Muslim Club

Vice President
Aqeela has been a volunteer for YMWA since 2006. She is currently a BA/BSc student at the University of Auckland and majoring in Psychology, Statistics and Education. She was born in Sri Lanka, and is a former resident of Nelson. Previously, she has participated in Leadership training sponsored by the Office of Ethnic Affairs in 2006. She also organized one of the first youth inter-faith forams in Auckland, in May 2007, entitled - ‘Cross Roads: Are we headed towards a society in which religious coexistence and interfaith expression is possible

Treasurer
Azoora has been a volunteer for YMWA since 2005. Her previous role with YMWA was as Camp Coordinator, which made the organization a recipient of the Sonja Davies Peace Award (2005). She is currently working as a Planning/Accounting Analyst at Mercedes Benz New Zealand, and working towards gaining her Chartered Accountant qualification. She was born in Sri Lanka and came to New Zealand in 1997. Azoora also volunteers her time as a coordinator for International Centre for Children Charitable Trust; an orphanage based in Sri Lanka, is a caring caller for St Johns, and sits on the Auckland City Youth Council. Previously, Azoora has been a member of the Auckland University Islamic Society.

Website Maintenance
My name is Siddiqa Daud, former Treasurer and Vice President of YMWA! Although I am not currently an exec member, the YMWA website has been my project for the last 5 weeks and alhamdullilah, it is now complete! I look forward to keeping this website up and running for the benefit of the organisation and of course the wider community. Camp Co-Ordinator
Rishalat has been a volunteer with YMWA since 2007. She is currently a BSc student at the University of Auckland majoring in statistics. She was born in Fiji and has been in New Zealand for over 22 years now. Previously, Rishalat has participated in the activities of the Epsom Girls Grammar School Muslim club

Aisha has been a volunteer with YMWA since 2007. She is currently a BHSc student at Auckland University of Technology and is majoring in nursing. She was born in Somalia and came to New Zealand in 2004. Aisha is currently a member of the AUT Muslim Students Association. Previously, Aisha has done the Leadership training sponsored by the Office of Ethnic Affairs in 2007

Hela Rahman joined the YMWA Executive in 2008. She moved to New Zealand in 1995 from Iraq. Currently Hela is a student at the University of Auckland studying Law and Arts. Hela won the Wizard Woman, Young Women in Public Affairs Award scholarship in 2008, and will be the Secretary for Amnesty International (University of Auckland) in 2010. She also holds the post of Smoke free Youth Ambassador for Auckland |
